in Forming a Team? WHAT
IS A TEAM? -
A minimum of 10 members is required to qualify as a team. Team members can be
co-workers, friends, family etc.
-
Team must have someone designed as the Team Captain. Together the team raises
awareness of the importance of nurses in our community by recruiting others to
support their team and participating in the event together.
-
Each team member can choose how they participate in the event (i.e. some may want
to register for the 5K Family Fitness Walk, some for the 5K Competitive Walk and
some for the 15K Run, thus satisfying each members desire to participate at his/her
ability).
-
Team members may register by using the enclosed "Team Entry Form: or on KLA's
Website (www.kenlongassoc.com) by clicking on either "Join A Team" or "Form A
Team". (Note: Team members to register on one or the other - not both)
-
Team members have a choice of a short sleeve or long sleeve event T-shirt. The
registration fee, with a short sleeve T-shirt is $18.00, with a long sleeve T-shirt
it is $20.00. It's their choice!
-
If you have fewer than 10 team members, each participant will be processed as
an individual participant and NOT as team.
-
Team members will qualify for the event's individual awards, scoring and the event's
door prize drawings.
WHY
FORM OR BE A MEMBER OF A TEAM? -
Participating on a "Spotlight on Nursing" team is an opportunity for you to join
with others to make a difference in the lives of people in our community.
-
A great way to get family, friends, co-workers together, have fun, socialize and
show your support for a great profession - NURSING.
-
You can have you own "Team Shirts" printed - We will even put you in touch with
our t-shirt silk-screening company and they will give the team a very low price.
-
You will be eligible to win prizes for the "Team Members Only" drawing.
-
As a Team Captain you will have an additional chance at the drawing, for each
10 members you sign-up on your team.
-
Your team will be acknowledged during the event.
-
We will package your team event T-shirts, bib numbers, safety pins, final instruction
etc. so that only one team member will have to come to packet pick-up.
-
You will have a "Team Meeting Area" the day of event. No hunting for your team
members.
-
Opportunity to pick-up your "Team Package" early - Tuesday, April 19th and Wednesday,
April 20th.
