The 4th Annual POG Morristown 8K had a great turnout. Over 300 runners and walkers joined in the fun of this unique race to honor the late Paul Otis Goble. The air was a little muggy early on, but everything cleared up in time for the rest and recovery refreshments provided by and held in the beautiful gardens of the Kopper Kettle Inn. Everyone enjoyed the hot chicken wings, beer, oranges, bananas and cookies. It was a great place for the Award Ceremony, too. We want to say thanks to the sponsors: St. Francis Hospitals, Feet First, Kopper Kettle Inn, Greenfield Office Supply and Runyon Tire & Auto Service for their support of the event. A huge thank you goes out to all the volunteers who helped to make this a great event.
This year there were some new divisions in the 8K run geared toward the youth
of the community. School cross country runners were encouraged to participate
on teams. The winners were:
