2012 St. Luke Rise and Shine Run - Walk
St. Luke Catholic Church presents the inaugural Rise and Shine Run/Walk as part of our 50th Anniversary Celebration. This event benefits the St. Luke CYO Athletics Program.
The St. Luke CYO Athletic Program offers 14 different sports for 400 St. Luke youth who participate in one or more sports. The goal of our program is to promote the spiritual, emotional and physical development of our parish youth by offering athletic programs and events based on Christian values.
This first annual Rise and Shine Run/Walk will start and finish at St. Luke, offering a choice of a 5 mile, 5 K, or 1 mile run/walk, through the beautiful Willams Creek/Meridian Hills area. We are very pleased to have Franciscan St. Francis Health as our event sponsor. So join us! Run or Walk! Pick Your Distance! We hope to see you there!
Purpose

Courses
Starting at the school, the course will take you through the beautiful area of Meridian Hills and Williams Creek. The finish is back at the school.
Kiddie Romp
For kids age 10 & Under. The course is approximately 1/4 mile within the school grounds. All finishers will receive a ribbon. The Kiddie Romp is free and there is no registration required.

5K Run Age Division Awards (Male & Female)
Gift Certificates will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age division of the 5K: $15, $12 and $10. The divisions start at age 19-24, to 80 & Over, in 5 year increments.
5 Mile & 5K Youth Awards
The top three boys and girls will receive trophies in their age divisions: 10 & Under, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-18.
1 Mile
Adults are welcome, but not eligible for awards. The top 5 finishers will receive a trophy.
Parking
Free and on the school's parking lot.
Event Highlights
- Confirmation - Will be emailed to all pre-registered entrants with an email address.
- Results - Will be emailed containing personal results to each timed finisher who has provided an email address. Complete results will be posted on KLA's website.
