2010 Polar Bear 3 Mile / 5 Mile

Ch..Ch..Changes are in the air. Runners and walkers will have a new venue and new courses for the 2010 Polar Bear.
The City Market, located at Market & Delaware streets in downtown Indianapolis, is hosting the Polar Bear. There are several amenities added to the event, such as:
- Much larger facility to accommodate the crowd
- More restrooms available...yeah!
- Tables and chairs in the Rest & Recovery area
- The start and finish lines are right outside the door
- A mini - expo will have displays and information from
- St. Francis Hospital
- Athlete's Foot
- Runners Forum
- Plus the highlight of KLA 2010
If you are very fast, you can do both the 3 Mile and 5 Mile with the possibility of winning awards in each one, PLUS the Polar Bear Double will have awards to the top 5 male & female finishers.

This is the second event of the Step up to the Mini Series and first of the Long Distance Road Champions 2010.

"Celebrate In The Market" after your finish, join your family, friends, and fellow runners and walkers with music, coffee and hot chocolate, check out the results, visit the "Mini" expo, have fun at the photo stage and the awards ceremony.

Youth Divisions:
Boys and girls ages 9 & Under, 10 to 12, 13 to 14 and 15 to 18. The top 3 in each age division will receive trophies.

Event Highlights
- Confirmation - Will be emailed to all pre-registered entrants with an email address.
- Results - Will be emailed containing personal results to each timed finisher who has provided an email address. Complete results will be posted on KLA's website.

There will be a photo stage and display clock in the "Celebration in the Market" area where it's nice and warm. You may use your own camera or download pictures from KLA's website - free of charge!
You are also encouraged to post your Polar Bear photos on the photo page to share with the other runners and walkers.
Be sure to check out all of the race day photos. They will be available for viewing by noon Monday, February 22.
The Mini Polar Bear Expo
Save some bucks on shoes, apparel and accessories...discuss your nagging pain...get training tips...and much more before and after you finish.
On hand will be St. Francis Sports Medicine, Runners Forum, The Athlete's Foot, Kline's Quality Bottled Water - these are folks who support the sport of running and walking!
Confirmations
Within 5 to 10 minutes after you submit your online registration, you should receive an email confirming the information you sent to KLA. Any corrections, event changes, etc., should be reported to KLA as soon as possible in order to update.
KLA's Home Page
After receiving your registration, your confirmation will appear within two business days on the Event Confirmation alphabet list. This will include your assigned bib number.
Quick Pick Ticket
Three to four days before the event, you will receive an email confirmation with all pertinent information, including your bib number. Bring this Quick Pick Ticket to packet pick-up for faster service when you pick up your race material. This will apply to those who have provided an email address, which will also be used for updates and personal results.
