The Long Distance Training Plan

Running or walking a marathon or half-marathon can be one of the more gratifying accomplishments you will ever have in your life. So many people think about taking part in a marathon one day, and with many it's on their "To do in my life" list.
Some of you are athletic, some unathletic, some skinny, some overweight, some running for years, some never have worn running shoes. Some of you are always talking about running or walking a marathon or half-marathon one day, a small group will actually run or walk a marathon.
Do you want to be a story-teller or a winner?
Preparing for a marathon depends on four main factors.
- Your current physical shape.
- Your goal you want to reach.
- The time you are willing to spend to reach your goal.
- Choosing a proper training program.
KLA's Long Distance Training Plan consists of all the ingredients of a professional training program.
Coach:
A person who teaches or trains athletes to help prepare for a special sport.
Trainer:
A person who educates, instructs and controls discipline.
Training:
Practical education in some art, profession, development of strength, mental preparation and endurance.
Workout:
Run or walk as a group, practice trial and test.
Train:
Series of connected ideas, made skillful by teaching and practice.
KLA's Long Distance Training Plan will meet your goals:
- Complete the race more comfortably
- Avoid common marathon & half-marathon training injuries.
- Pace yourself during the race.
- Provide proper nutrition for running and walking.
- Proper mileage & training techniques for your ability, experience and goals.
Yes, you can follow an e-mail program, get mileage on the internet, even join groups to "work out" free or for a small fee.
Following a proper training program for several weeks to prepare for the race of your life is not easy.
If you like things easy, we suggest you not sign up for our program. If you want to train properly, be prepared for your race, have some fun, meet new and old friends and finish, as fast as you can, you need to register now.
Don't think you need a coach? Then why do all the world class runners & walkers have a coach?
