2010 Bricks to Bricks 10 Miler

Event Highlights

Purpose

Opportunity to simulate your plans for the mini-marathon. The training run & walk is designed for runners and walkers of all levels of ability.

  • A great opportunity to practice your complete plans for the mini (pace, water intake, clothing, shoes, etc.) You can pace, plan, or race.
  • A good occasion to finalize your goals as this event will tell you where you really are as to your physical and mental preparation.
  • Provides companionship for the last long training run or walk before the big day.

This event is free to Bricks to Bricks Training Program entrants. Shirts must still be purchased.

Medical

St. Francis Sports Medicine will be handling the medical which consists of staff at the start and finish (look for the medical tent) with several staff personnel riding bikes traveling the course.

Reserve your spot at the tent today! Voted by thousands to be the best rest and recovery tent at the mini.

  • Celebrate - Party - Socialize
  • 5:00am to 1:00pm
  • You can store your "stuff" before the race.
  • A place to meet your family and friends after the race.
  • Inside the tent is a privacy booth with supplies where you can freshen up and change your clothes after you finish.
  • Great refreshments! Plus candy, chips, pretzels, nuts, fruit, and great liquid refreshments.
  • Great indoor and outside areas with shade, tables and chairs.
  • A photo area with a display clock where we will take your picture displaying your official time and/or a "dream" time.
  • You receive a nice, colorful, frame able certificate recognizing your achievement, including your name and official time.
  • Provides a comfortable place to sit, talk with family, friends and other finishers and to start planning next year's strategy.
  • Tubs of ice cold water to soak your sore / aching feet.

City Market

Registration / Packet Pick-up will take place at the Indianapolis City Market, 222 E Market St. at the East end of the market. (Market St. & Alabama St)

The current location of the City Market dates back to 1821. The market out grew its size and in 1886 a new Market House was built.

Restoration of the market was completed in 1977.

In 2004, City Market celebrated the unveiling of its new Market District Stage on Whistler Plaza and is now home to many special events, and is where we will have the Rest & Recovery which will include tables, chairs and great refreshments.

The course includes downtown, the parkway, pass by two golf courses, and includes the famous Derby Hill on 30th St.

Scoring & Timing

We will be using the disposable DAG Chip, which will be located on the back of your bib number. After you finish, cool down and if you want to, you may recycle your bib number & chip or just remove your chip to recycle. Not Required, but appreciated.

Race T-Shirt

Zorell Tech Shirt, which is designed to be worn next to your skin, so it can wick the sweat to the garment on top, will have the race logo silk-screened on the left chest of the garment.
